Much, Much Better

Every fiber of my being is sighing with relief these days. Our stormy seas have subsided for the moment and life is vibrantly, deliriously fun. Pecky figured out how to sign "I want____" and that was the thing that freed her from her wordless, screaming frustration. Now she can ask for things, to be picked up, fed, read to, whatever her little heart desires. (Which is mostly teta, but that's ok.) And we are having such a good time communicating!

The other exciting development is a store bought one. We got a little Yepp bike seat and mounted it on the handlebars of my bike. It's really cute and, oh mama, it is the funnest thing that ever did happen. I was nervous at first, then utterly exhilarated. I'm not sure what makes it extra fun but I am over the moon. Grinning from ear to ear like a super fine fool. We made our weekly grocery run on two wheels today. Back baskets loaded down, front seat filled with hooting girlie who rang the bell the whole way home. Great good fun.

Oh, the fun we have ahead of us as the earth turns to the sun! I am so happy at home, so happy to be home, so happy to be mama. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
