Une Nuit de Liberté

I went out to Last Thursday on Alberta Street with a friend last night, sans baby, and it was outrageously exciting. It's amazing what a few months of not going out will do for you. Whereas I was previously SO OVER Last Thursday, this time around everything looked gorgeous and artsy. I was impressed by all the cool outfits, and all the street musicians sounded great. We had a drink at Siam Society and I got tipsy off about two sips. (In all fairness, the drink had three kinds of liquor in it.) Totally felt like a Hillsboro mom out for a night on the town. And my boobs were safely ensconced in a non-nursing bra, under a shirt that I couldn't easily lift up or pull down. All that confinement felt incredibly liberating.

I need out get out more, obviously.

After a hard-fought afternoon nap, I see the Kanoe wiggling prematurely. Looks like we get 30 min of peace this afternoon. Off to the ladies' room before the squawking starts. Happy Mem Day weekend!
